AI-suggested
A patch is available and has been released in multiple Linux kernel versions including 5.4.0-1128.138~18.04.1 and later. Users should update to these fixed kernel versions to remediate the vulnerability. No additional mitigation actions are required beyond applying the official kernel updates.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's qla2xxx SCSI driver causes a system crash due to a NULL pointer dereference when a cable is pulled under memory stress conditions. The issue arises because the driver fails to properly flush commands back to the SCSI layer during session teardown, leading to invalid memory access. This flaw has been fixed in updated Linux kernel versions.
