AI-suggested

Organizations should implement strict input validation and output encoding on the Family Name parameter and any other user-supplied inputs to prevent script injection. Employ Content Security Policy (CSP) headers to restrict the execution of unauthorized scripts in the browser. Limit user privileges to the minimum necessary to reduce the attack surface. Monitor logs for suspicious input patterns or unusual user activity related to family registration. Until an official patch is released, consider temporarily disabling or restricting access to the vulnerable functionality if feasible. Educate users about the risks of interacting with untrusted inputs within the CRM interface. Regularly check for vendor updates or security advisories to apply patches promptly once available.

Description

A stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in Church CRM v5.8.0 allows attackers to execute arbitrary web scripts or HTML via a crafted payload injected into the Family Name parameter under the Register a New Family page.
