Description
CVE-2024-44948 is a vulnerability in the Linux kernel's x86 memory type range registers (MTRR) handling. The kernel did not check if fixed MTRRs exist before saving them, which could cause a warning due to accessing unsupported MSRs on some CPUs. This issue has been fixed in several Linux kernel versions.
