What to do

AI-suggested

A fix is available that properly frees DMA memory on failure in the qedi_alloc_and_init_sb() function. Users should apply the official Linux kernel updates that include this patch to remediate the issue.

Description

A medium-severity vulnerability in the Linux kernel's qedi SCSI driver could cause a memory leak due to failure to release DMA memory in the qedi_alloc_and_init_sb() function. This issue has been fixed by adding a call to dma_free_coherent() to properly free allocated memory on failure.
