What to do

AI-suggested

A patch has been applied to the Linux kernel to fix this race condition by enhancing locking and preventing invalidation attempts on freed lkeys. Users should update to a Linux kernel version that includes this fix. No additional mitigation steps are indicated or required beyond applying the official patch.

Description

A race condition in the Linux kernel's RDMA mlx5 driver involving On-Demand Paging (ODP) Memory Regions (MR) could lead to a Completion Queue Entry (CQE) error on the UMR Queue Pair (QP). This occurs when concurrent tasks attempt to invalidate or revoke the same lkey, causing the UMR QP to enter an error state. The issue has been fixed by extending locking to prevent concurrent invalidation attempts after revocation.
