Until a fix is available, monitoring and limiting exposure to untrusted HTTP/2 clients may help reduce risk.
Description
CVE-2025-23085 is a medium severity memory leak vulnerability in the HTTP/2 server implementation of Node.js versions 18.x, 20.x, 22.x, and 23.x. The leak occurs when a remote peer abruptly closes the socket without sending a GOAWAY notification or when an invalid header causes connection termination by the peer. This flaw can lead to increased memory consumption and potential denial of service under certain conditions.
