A fix is available and has been applied in the Linux kernel source code as indicated by the fixed commit hashes. Users should update to a kernel version including these fixes to remediate the memory leak. No additional mitigation steps are indicated.
Description
A memory leak vulnerability in the Linux kernel's ASoC SOF Intel HDA driver was fixed by using devm_kstrdup() to manage memory allocation properly. The issue involved sof_pdata->tplg_filename being allocated with kstrdup() and overwritten without freeing, causing a memory leak detected by kmemleak.
