AI-suggested

Fixed versions are available and users should upgrade to Linux kernel versions 5.15.189, 6.1.146, 6.6.99, 6.9, or later where the issue is resolved. No additional mitigation steps are indicated.

Description

A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's netfilter flowtable component was identified where the Ethernet header was not properly accounted for in the nf_flow_pppoe_proto() function. This caused a potential use of uninitialized values leading to a kernel memory sanitizer (KMSAN) bug. The issue has been fixed in multiple Linux kernel versions.
