Upgrade Zitadel to version 4.6.3 or later, or to the fixed build 1.80.0-v2.20.0.20251105083648-8dcfff97ed52. Applying these official fixes fully resolves the vulnerability. No additional mitigation actions are required once patched.
Description
Zitadel versions 4.0.0-rc.1 through 4.6.2 contain an authorization bypass vulnerability in the V2Beta API. Authenticated users with certain administrator roles in one organization can access and modify organization-level data of other organizations, including names, domains, and metadata. Other data types such as users, projects, and applications are not affected. This vulnerability is fixed in version 4.6.3.
