No additional mitigations are specified.
Description
CVE-2025-68753 is a high-severity vulnerability in the Linux kernel's ALSA firewire-motu driver. It involves a missing bounds check in a put_user() loop that handles DSP event data. When the user buffer size is not aligned to 4 bytes, this flaw could cause memory overwrite beyond the buffer boundary. The issue has been fixed by adding a bounds check before the put_user() call. The vulnerability affects Linux kernel version 5.16 and has a CVSS score of 7.1.
