Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-105836 describes an authorization bypass vulnerability in Webkul's QloApps product, affecting versions up to and including 1.7.0. The vulnerability exists in the AdminProductsController::ajaxProcessBulkUpdateRooms method, where insufficient authorization checks allow users with restricted hotel access to manipulate rooms of other hotels by submitting arbitrary room IDs in the id_rooms parameter. This enables unauthorized modification of room attributes such as status, floor, comments, and inactive dates.

Potential Impact

An attacker with limited back-office privileges can alter room details of hotels they should not have access to. This can disrupt room availability and booking processes, potentially causing operational issues for hotel management and affecting customer reservations.

Mitigation Recommendations

No patch or official fix information is provided in the available data. Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until a fix is available, restrict access to the affected functionality to trusted users only and monitor for unauthorized changes if possible.
