Description

CVE-2026-10595 is a path traversal vulnerability in parisneo/lollms version 2.1.0 affecting the SPA catch-all route in backend/routers/ui.py. Technical Analysis

This vulnerability arises from the direct joining of user-controlled path input into filesystem paths without proper sanitization or containment checks. URL-encoded dot-dot sequences (%2e%2e) bypass Starlette's path normalization and are resolved by Python's pathlib, enabling an attacker to perform relative path traversal and read arbitrary files on the server. The flaw affects parisneo/lollms versions up to but not including 3.0.0 and is fixed in version 3.

Potential Impact

An unauthenticated attacker can exploit this vulnerability to read arbitrary files on the server, potentially exposing sensitive information. The CVSS score of 7.5 (high) reflects the ease of exploitation (network vector, no privileges or user interaction required) and the confidentiality impact. There is no indication of integrity or availability impact.

Mitigation Recommendations

Upgrade to parisneo/lollms version 3 or later, where this vulnerability has been fixed. No other official remediation or temporary fixes are documented. Patch status is confirmed by the vendor stating the issue is resolved in version 3.
