Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-109201 describes a missing authorization vulnerability in LogicalDOC Community Edition through version 9.3. The flaw exists in the SoapDocumentService operations, where authenticated users can call functions such as copy, getExtractedText, deleteVersion, reindex, deleteLink, or restore via SOAP or the REST endpoint /services/rest/document using sequential document IDs. This lack of proper authorization checks enables attackers to access and manipulate documents beyond their privileges.

Potential Impact

An attacker with valid authentication credentials can exploit this vulnerability to disclose sensitive document contents, delete document versions, tamper with document metadata, or restore documents improperly. This compromises the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of documents managed by LogicalDOC Community Edition up to version 9.3.

Mitigation Recommendations

Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until an official fix is available, restrict access to authenticated users carefully and monitor usage of SOAP and REST document service operations to detect potential abuse.
