Published: 10/12/2026 (10/12/2026, 13:39:47 UTC)
Source: CVE Database V5
Vendor/Project: LogicalDOC
Product: LogicalDOC Community Edition

Description

LogicalDOC Community Edition versions up to 9.3 have an unauthenticated file upload vulnerability in the UploadServlet. This flaw allows remote attackers to upload files without a session, repeatedly sending multipart requests with unlimited file parts to the /upload endpoint. The uploaded files persist in temporary directories that are not cleaned, potentially exhausting server disk space and causing denial of service.

Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-109205 describes an unauthenticated file upload vulnerability in LogicalDOC Community Edition through version 9.3. The vulnerability exists in the UploadServlet, which accepts multipart file upload requests without requiring a session or authentication. Attackers can exploit this by sending unlimited multipart requests to the /upload endpoint, resulting in persistent files accumulating in temporary directories. This resource exhaustion can lead to denial of service conditions due to disk space depletion.

Potential Impact

Successful exploitation allows remote attackers to write arbitrary files to disk without authentication, leading to exhaustion of server disk space. This can cause denial of service by filling storage resources, potentially disrupting normal operation of the LogicalDOC server.

Mitigation Recommendations

Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until a fix is available, consider restricting access to the /upload endpoint and monitoring disk usage to mitigate potential resource exhaustion.
