Users should monitor for vendor advisories for updates and consider restricting access to the statistics page or applying web application firewall rules to mitigate potential exploitation until a fix is available.
Description
MCB WordPress plugin versions up to 1.0.0 contain a cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability due to improper sanitization and escaping of request header values. This allows unauthenticated attackers to inject malicious JavaScript that executes in an administrator's browser when viewing the statistics page.
