Technical Analysis
CVE-2026-110593 is a server-side template injection vulnerability in BottleCRM through version 1.14.5. The vulnerability exists in the send_email Celery task, which compiles user-supplied AccountEmail message_body using django.template.Template(). Authenticated users can submit crafted template tags through the POST /api/accounts/<id>/create_mail/ endpoint to access sensitive rendering context information and Python modules or disrupt service by causing the Celery worker to hang with nested loops.
Potential Impact
An authenticated organization member can exploit this vulnerability to disclose sensitive internal information about the rendering context and loaded Python modules, potentially aiding further attacks. Additionally, the attacker can cause a denial of service by blocking the shared Celery worker, impacting email sending functionality.
Mitigation Recommendations
Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until a fix is available, restrict access to the affected API endpoint to trusted users only and monitor for suspicious template usage patterns.
