CVE-2026-110595: Allocation of Resources Without Limits or Throttling in MicroPyramid BottleCRM
Description
BottleCRM versions 0.45 through 1.14.5 have a vulnerability in the _read_upload() function where CSV uploads are fully read into memory before the 5 MB size limit is enforced. Authenticated users with mass-import permissions can exploit this by sending large CSV files concurrently to specific import endpoints, causing excessive memory consumption and potential out-of-memory termination of the application.

Technical Analysis
CVE-2026-110595 describes an uncontrolled memory allocation vulnerability in MicroPyramid's BottleCRM versions 0.45 through 1.14.5. The flaw exists in the _read_upload() function, which reads entire CSV files before applying the 5 MB upload size limit. This allows authenticated users with mass-import permissions to send oversized CSV files concurrently to the /api/contacts/import/ and /api/cases/import/ endpoints. The result is exhaustion of worker memory resources, potentially causing the application to terminate due to out-of-memory conditions.
Potential Impact
Exploitation of this vulnerability can lead to denial of service by exhausting server memory resources, causing worker processes to terminate unexpectedly. This impacts availability of the BottleCRM service for legitimate users. No direct code execution or data breach is indicated by the provided information.
Mitigation Recommendations
Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until a fix is available, restrict or monitor authenticated users with mass-import permissions to prevent concurrent uploads of large CSV files. Implement external upload size enforcement or rate limiting as a temporary mitigation.
