CVE-2026-111065: CWE-770: Allocation of Resources Without Limits or Throttling in aio-libs aiohttp
Description
AIOHTTP is an asynchronous HTTP client/server framework for asyncio and Python. Prior to 3.14.4, Max-Age processing can overflow and skip closing a connection. An attacker can consequently exhaust the connection pool temporarily until garbage collection resolves the connections. This issue is fixed in version 3.14.4.

Technical Analysis
CVE-2026-111065 describes a resource allocation vulnerability (CWE-770) in aio-libs aiohttp, an asynchronous HTTP client/server framework for Python's asyncio. Specifically, in versions before 3.14.4, the Max-Age header processing can overflow, causing connections to remain open and skip proper closure. This results in temporary exhaustion of the connection pool until Python's garbage collector eventually reclaims these connections. The vulnerability has a CVSS 4.0 base score of 6.9 (medium severity) and does not require privileges or user interaction to exploit. The issue is resolved in aiohttp version 3.14.4.
Potential Impact
An attacker can cause temporary exhaustion of the connection pool by exploiting the Max-Age processing overflow, potentially leading to denial of service conditions until garbage collection cleans up the leaked connections. There is no indication of privilege escalation, code execution, or data leakage.
Mitigation Recommendations
Upgrade aiohttp to version 3.14.4 or later, where this vulnerability is fixed. No other mitigation is indicated or required.
