Until a fix is available, restrict access to the SAFT import functionality to trusted users only. Consider running the application with the least privileges necessary to limit potential impact. Disable or restrict XML external entity processing if configurable. Monitor vendor communications for official patches or updates.

Description

CVE-2026-112198 is an XML External Entity (XXE) injection vulnerability in the SAFT import feature of the Tactis NoviGest Desktop App. The vulnerability arises because the application uses a JAXB Unmarshaller to process user-controlled XML files without disabling external entity resolution. This flaw allows an attacker to supply a crafted XML file that can read local files accessible to the application process. If the application runs with elevated privileges, sensitive system files could be exposed. The vulnerability has a high severity score of 8.3 CVSS v4.0 and requires local access with low privileges to exploit.
