Source: CVE Database V5
Vendor/Project: uselotus
Product: lotus

Description

Lotus versions up to 0.10.2 have an authorization bypass vulnerability in the ChangeUserOrganizationView.post endpoint. Authenticated users can supply any organization's UUID to join that organization without proper authorization. This allows attackers who self-register and know another organization's UUID to access that organization's tenant data and billing configuration.

Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-115334 describes an authorization bypass vulnerability in the Lotus application (uselotus project) affecting versions up to and including 0.10.2. The flaw exists in the ChangeUserOrganizationView.post method, where authenticated users can supply a user-controlled UUID parameter to join any organization. This bypasses intended access controls, enabling unauthorized access to tenant-specific data and billing information by sending a crafted POST request to /app/switch_organization/.

Potential Impact

An attacker with a valid user account can access sensitive data and billing configurations of other organizations by exploiting this vulnerability. This compromises tenant isolation and confidentiality within the affected Lotus deployments.

Mitigation Recommendations

Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until a fix is available, restrict access to the /app/switch_organization/ endpoint and monitor for suspicious POST requests containing unauthorized UUIDs.
