Source: CVE Database V5
Vendor/Project: KNIME
Product: KNIME Business Hub

Description

KNIME Business Hub versions before 1.19.0 have a vulnerability where sensitive cookies used in HTTPS sessions lack the 'secure' attribute. Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-115519 describes a vulnerability in KNIME Business Hub prior to version 1.19.0 where sensitive cookies in HTTPS sessions do not have the 'secure' attribute set. This security attribute is important to ensure cookies are only sent over secure channels. The absence of this attribute could allow an unauthenticated remote attacker to compromise user sessions, but only if other vulnerabilities such as cross-site scripting or man-in-the-middle attacks are also present. The vulnerability is categorized under CWE-614 (Sensitive Cookie Without 'Secure' Attribute) and CWE-1004. There is no workaround available, and the issue is fixed starting with version 1.19.0.

Potential Impact

The impact is limited to potential session compromise through sensitive cookies lacking the 'secure' attribute, but exploitation requires the presence of additional security issues like cross-site scripting or man-in-the-middle attacks. The CVSS 4.0 score is low (2.1), reflecting the limited standalone risk of this vulnerability.

Mitigation Recommendations

Upgrade KNIME Business Hub to version 1.19.0 or later where this issue is fixed. No workaround is available for affected versions prior to 1.19.0.
