AI-suggested

A fix is available in undici versions 7.30.2 and 8.12.4. Users should upgrade to these versions or later. As a workaround, users can compose interceptors as cache then redirect, use per-origin dispatchers and cache stores, or disable shared caching on redirect-capable requests.

Description

undici, an HTTP client for Node.js, has a vulnerability in versions 7.30.1 and 8.12.2 through 8.12.3 where origin validation during caching of redirected responses is flawed. This allows an attacker controlling a redirect target from a trusted URL to poison cached entries or cause private responses to be served to other users. The issue arises because the client inspects only the final redirect hop for caching decisions, ignoring intermediate hops that may affect cache validity. The vulnerability is fixed in versions 7.30.2 and 8.12.4.
