AI-suggested

Upgrade Echo to version 5.4.1 or later, where the issue is fixed. Applications should avoid relying on the vulnerable ExtractIPFromRealIPHeader function in affected versions. No other mitigation is indicated by the vendor advisory.

Description

A vulnerability in the Echo Go web framework versions 5.0.0 through 5.4.0 allows client-supplied X-Real-IP headers to be trusted incorrectly. This can lead to spoofing of the client's IP address in applications relying on this value for security controls. The issue is fixed in version 5.4.1.
