AI-suggested

Upgrade labstack echo to version 4.16.0 or later, or 5.4.0 or later, where this vulnerability is fixed. Ensure that application routes do not expose attacker-controlled input as the JSONP callback parameter. No other mitigation is indicated by the vendor advisory.

Description

A reflected cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability exists in the labstack echo Go web framework prior to versions 4.16.0 and 5.4.0. The vulnerability occurs in the Context.JSONP and Context.JSONPBlob methods, which concatenate an unvalidated callback parameter into a JavaScript response. This allows an attacker to inject executable script code if they can control the callback argument in an application route. The issue is fixed in versions 4.16.0 and 5.4.0.
