AI-suggested

Upgrade the Surfer WordPress plugin to version 1.8.1.759 or later, where this vulnerability has been fixed. No other mitigation is required as the fix addresses the improper privilege management issue.

Description

A privilege management vulnerability in the Surfer WordPress plugin before version 1.8.1.759 allows users with contributor-level access or higher to obtain a sensitive API credential via the post editor page. This credential is used as the sole authorization for privileged REST API actions, enabling these users to escalate privileges and perform actions such as publishing arbitrary posts.
