AI-suggested

Since the vulnerability affects versions up to and including 4.62.0, users should upgrade to a fixed version once available. Until then, administrators should avoid assigning post authorship to untrusted users on pages or posts using the Raven Author Box widget and consider disabling or removing this widget to reduce exposure. Monitor the vendor advisory for official fixes.

Description

A stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability exists in the Jupiter X Core WordPress plugin up to version 4.62.0. It arises from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping of the 'fields[<custom_meta_field_id>]' parameter. An unauthenticated attacker who can register an account and be assigned as the post author of a page or post using the Raven Author Box widget can inject malicious scripts that execute when users view the affected page.
