Description

CVE-2026-119673 is a low-severity vulnerability in MongoDB Database Tools mongofiles (versions 100.2.0 through before 100.20.1) where symlink resolution is improperly handled during output path validation for get_regex. An unauthorized user able to upload GridFS files and place symlinks in the operator's download directory can cause unauthorized data to be written outside the intended directory with the operator's filesystem permissions. Exploitation requires operator interaction to retrieve files from the affected directory. The issue is fixed in version 100.20.1.
