Users should monitor the vendor's advisories for updates. Until a fix is available, restrict subscriber-level access where possible and consider disabling or removing the News Kit Addons For Elementor plugin if feasible. Applying general WordPress security best practices may help reduce risk but will not fully mitigate this specific vulnerability.

Description

The News Kit Addons For Elementor WordPress plugin up to version 1.4.8 contains a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability via the 'formData' parameter. Authenticated users with subscriber-level access or higher can inject malicious scripts that execute when other users view the affected pages. The issue arises from improper input sanitization and output escaping, compounded by an operator-precedence bug that exposes admin scripts to subscribers and flawed JSON sanitization allowing encoded angle brackets to bypass filters.
