AI-suggested

Users should monitor the vendor's advisory channels for updates. Until a fix is available, administrators should carefully moderate comments and consider disabling or restricting comment functionality to prevent exploitation. Applying additional web application firewall (WAF) rules to detect and block suspicious comment payloads may provide temporary mitigation.

Description

The iubenda All-in-one Compliance for GDPR / CCPA Cookie Consent plugin for WordPress versions up to 3.13.6 contains a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability. This flaw arises from improper handling of HTML comments within the plugin's parser, allowing unauthenticated attackers to inject malicious scripts via moderated comments that execute when viewed by users after approval.
