Description
CVE-2026-120756 is a heap buffer over-read vulnerability in The HDF Group's HDF5 library versions prior to 2.3.0. The flaw occurs in the H5O__chunk_deserialize() function when decoding object header messages, allowing a crafted HDF5 file to cause out-of-bounds reads during file open operations. This can lead to denial of service or limited disclosure of process memory.
