AI-suggested

Users should avoid using untrusted data in option values or labels until a fix is available. Monitor the vendor or CPAN for updates addressing this vulnerability. Implementing manual escaping of data before rendering may reduce risk but is not a complete solution.

Description

Data::MuForm versions up to 0.05 for Perl contain a cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability due to unescaped rendering of attribute values and option labels in HTML. This flaw allows attacker-controlled data in option values or labels to inject JavaScript into rendered pages, affecting applications that build option lists from dynamic data sources.
