AI-suggested

Upgrade OpenEMR to version 8.3.0 or later, where this vulnerability is fixed. No other mitigation or temporary workaround is indicated in the available data.

Description

OpenEMR versions before 8.3.0 contain a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the eye_mag report generation feature. Authenticated users with document-note write access can inject malicious JavaScript into retina document notes. This script executes when clinicians generate the Eye Exam patient report, potentially exposing session cookies. The vulnerability is fixed in version 8.3.0.
