AI-suggested

Upgrade OpenEMR to version 8.3.0 or later, where this authorization bypass vulnerability is fixed. No other mitigations are indicated or required according to the available data.

Description

OpenEMR versions before 8.3.0 have an authorization bypass vulnerability due to insecure direct object references in encounter-form view and save endpoints. Authenticated clinical users can enumerate sequential form IDs to access and modify other patients' clinical records without proper ownership checks. This flaw was fixed in version 8.3.0.
