Vendor/Project: pixelyoursite
Product: PixelYourSite – Your smart PIXEL (TAG) & API Manager

Description

PixelYourSite – Your smart PIXEL (TAG) & API Manager WordPress plugin versions up to and including 11.2.1 are vulnerable to sensitive information exposure via the getWooPurchaseEventParams function. Unauthenticated attackers can retrieve WooCommerce purchase metadata such as product names, IDs, quantities, prices, order totals, currency, and order/transaction IDs by supplying arbitrary or invalid order keys. The plugin exposes this data in the page HTML through the pysOptions JavaScript object regardless of order key validity, affecting Facebook, Google Analytics, and Google Tag Manager integrations.

Technical Analysis

The PixelYourSite WordPress plugin contains a vulnerability (CWE-200) allowing unauthenticated attackers to extract sensitive WooCommerce purchase data by manipulating the order key parameter in the getWooPurchaseEventParams function. The plugin resolves orders solely from the URL path variable and outputs the full purchase tracking payload into the page HTML via the pysOptions JavaScript object, without validating the order key. This exposure includes product details, quantities, prices, order totals, currency, and transaction IDs, potentially compromising customer purchase information.

Potential Impact

This vulnerability allows unauthorized disclosure of sensitive WooCommerce purchase information, including product details and transaction identifiers, which could lead to privacy violations and information leakage. There is no indication of integrity or availability impact. The exposure is limited to data embedded in the page HTML for tracking integrations.

Mitigation Recommendations

Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until a fix is available, consider disabling or restricting access to the affected plugin functionality to prevent unauthorized data exposure.
