AI-suggested

Fixed versions are available and should be applied. The vulnerability is resolved in Linux kernel versions 6.2, 6.19.10, and 6.18.20 and later. Users should upgrade to these or later versions to mitigate the issue. No additional mitigation steps are required beyond applying the official fixes.

Description

CVE-2026-23451 is a high-severity vulnerability in the Linux kernel bonding driver where the bond_header_parse() function can enter a potential infinite loop when a stack of two bonding devices is configured. This occurs because skb->dev always points to the top of the device hierarchy, causing unbounded recursion. The issue is resolved by adding a new parameter to the parse method to ensure recursion is bounded and the final leaf parse method is called.
