A fix is available and has been applied in specific Linux kernel commits. Users and administrators should update to a Linux kernel version that includes the fix (commits da524c939b1e5ba17f10db4bde4bdaf569ffcda6 and others listed). No additional mitigation is required beyond applying the official patch.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's pvrusb2 driver causes a URB (USB Request Block) leak when the function pvr2_send_request_ex() successfully submits a write URB but fails to submit the read URB. This leads to a reuse of an active URB structure, triggering warnings and potential instability. The issue has been fixed by ensuring the write URB is properly unlinked and waited upon if the read URB submission fails.
