The vulnerability has been fixed in Linux kernel versions 5.17, 5.15.202, and other specified fixed commits. Users should upgrade to these fixed versions or later to ensure protection. No additional mitigation steps are required beyond applying the official patches.
Description
The Linux kernel was vulnerable to a Spectre-BHB (Branch History Buffer) side-channel attack on the arm64 architecture, specifically affecting the TSV110 processor. This vulnerability could allow information leakage via branch prediction side channels. The issue has been addressed by adding support for software mitigation targeting the TSV110 processor in the Linux kernel.
