AI-suggested

A fix is available and has been applied in the Linux kernel. Users should update to a kernel version containing the fix commits (e.g., those identified by the fixedVersions hashes) to prevent the divide-by-zero crash. No additional mitigation steps are indicated.

Description

A divide-by-zero vulnerability was identified and fixed in the Linux kernel's net/sched act_skbedit module. The issue occurred due to an incorrect calculation of a range size that could wrap to zero, causing a divide-by-zero error in the tcf_skbedit_hash() function. This was addressed by computing the range size in a wider type and rejecting ranges larger than the maximum allowed value to prevent the crash.
