A fix is available and has been applied in the Linux kernel source code as indicated by multiple fixed commit hashes. Users and administrators should update to a Linux kernel version that includes these fixes to mitigate the vulnerability. No additional mitigation steps are indicated beyond applying the official patch.
Description
CVE-2026-43383 is a critical vulnerability in the Linux kernel's TCP MD5 implementation where the Message Authentication Code (MAC) comparison was not performed in constant time. This flaw could allow timing attacks to infer sensitive information. The issue has been fixed by updating the MAC comparison to use a constant-time helper function.
