AI-suggested
A patch is available and has been applied in the Linux kernel versions identified by the fixed commit hashes. Users should update their Linux kernel to a version including these fixes to remediate the vulnerability. Since this is a kernel-level issue, applying the official kernel update is the recommended mitigation.
Description
A NULL pointer dereference vulnerability was identified and fixed in the hisi_sas driver of the Linux kernel. The issue occurs during the user_scan() operation when scanning channels beyond the single supported channel, leading to a kernel NULL pointer exception and system crash. This flaw was addressed by correcting the handling of multi-channel scans in the hisi_sas driver.
