The vulnerability is fixed by restricting the ability to view or reset authentication keys to site administrators only. Until then, restrict organization administrator privileges and monitor access closely.

Description

CVE-2026-44380 is an improper access control vulnerability in the MISP platform affecting the authentication key reset functionality. It allows an authenticated organization administrator to reset authentication keys of site administrator accounts within the same organization, enabling privilege escalation. The flaw arises because non-site administrators were not explicitly blocked from resetting site administrator keys. The issue is fixed by restricting this capability to site administrators only.
