Description
CVE-2026-46312 addresses a vulnerability in the Linux kernel's media subsystem related to videobuf2's handling of virtual memory area (VMA) flags in the vb2_dma_sg_mmap function. The issue involved inconsistent setting of VMA flags compared to vb2_dma_contig, which could trigger warnings during mmap operations of imported dma-bufs, particularly affecting an out-of-tree Apple ISP camera capture driver. This flaw has been resolved by aligning the VMA flag settings to prevent such warnings.
