Technical Analysis

This vulnerability involves incorrect access control in the getScheduleCfg function of TOTOLINK T6 firmware 4.1.5cu.748_B20211015. An attacker can exploit this flaw by sending a specially crafted POST request to the /cgi-bin/cstecgi.cgi endpoint, which results in unauthorized disclosure of schedule or scheduled-reboot configuration data. The vulnerability is identified as CWE-284 (Improper Access Control) and has a CVSS v3.1 base score of 4.3, indicating low complexity and no required privileges or user interaction for exploitation.

Potential Impact

An unauthenticated attacker can obtain sensitive configuration information related to device scheduling or scheduled reboots. This information disclosure could potentially aid further attacks or reconnaissance but does not directly impact integrity or availability.

Mitigation Recommendations

Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. No official fix or temporary workaround is currently documented. Until a patch is available, restrict network access to the affected endpoint if possible.
