AI-suggested

Upgrade motionEye to version 0.44.0 or later, where the missing authorization check in ActionHandler.post() has been fixed. No other mitigation is required as the issue is resolved in this official fix.

Description

motionEye versions prior to 0.44.0 have a missing authorization vulnerability in the ActionHandler.post() method. This flaw allows unauthenticated remote attackers to invoke actions such as snapshot, record start/stop, PTZ controls, alarm, and lighting commands via the /action/<camera_id>/<action> endpoint. The issue is fixed in version 0.44.0.
