Description
A high-severity vulnerability in the Linux kernel's mt76 wireless driver was fixed by adding a wcid publish check in the mt76_sta_add function. The flaw caused corruption of the dev->sta_poll_list linked list when using the mt7925 wireless chipset, leading to potential memory corruption and system instability. This issue was observed in kernel versions prior to 7.0.0-1012.12~24.04.1 and related builds. The vulnerability has been addressed in multiple fixed kernel releases.
