Description
CVE-2026-64481 is a high-severity vulnerability in the Linux kernel's ALSA hda/cs35l41 driver. It involves improper teardown of firmware load work, which can lead to use-after-free conditions if firmware load work is queued before the DSP is initialized and the device or component is removed. This flaw allows kernel worker threads to dereference invalid driver state, potentially causing system compromise. The issue has been fixed in Linux kernel versions 6.8.0-147.147 and later.
