Until a fix is applied, avoid configurations or device states that trigger the blocked transitions causing the infinite loop. Monitor vendor channels for an official fix.

Description

A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's vfio driver causes an infinite loop in the vfio_mig_get_next_state() function when encountering a blocked transition state. This infinite loop occurs due to improper handling of an ERROR sentinel value during state transitions, which can lead to a soft lockup or kernel panic if softlockup_panic is enabled.
