A fix for this issue has been implemented in the Linux kernel. Users should apply the official kernel updates containing this fix once available.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's NFSD component caused an infinite loop during layout state revocation. The issue arises because the function nfsd4_revoke_states() does not set a status flag before calling nfsd4_close_layout(), causing the revocation retry loop to repeatedly process the same layout state identifier without progress, leading to a hang.
