Users should consider discontinuing use of ATutor or implementing compensating controls such as restricting access to import endpoints via network controls or application-layer filtering. Monitoring and limiting authenticated user capabilities may reduce risk, but no direct remediation exists.
Description
ATutor version 2.2.4 suffers from a missing authorization check vulnerability on its test and question import endpoints. This flaw allows a low-privileged authenticated user, such as a student enrolled in a course, to bypass authorization controls and import tests and questions without proper permissions. The product is no longer actively supported, and no fixes have been released for this vulnerability.
