AI-suggested

Users should monitor vendor advisories for updates. Until a fix is available, avoid using Furl to process untrusted compressed HTTP responses or use alternative HTTP clients that enforce decompression limits.

Description

Furl versions up to 3.15 for Perl have a vulnerability where HTTP responses with gzip, x-gzip, or deflate Content-Encoding are decompressed without any size limit. This can lead to memory exhaustion by inflating a small compressed response into a very large decompressed output, potentially causing the client process to terminate.
